A large shipment covering Mina, Ichiro, Juntetsu, Joewell, and Yasaka brands is currently clearing customs and expected to be available for shipping by mid-to-late March 2026. Some specialty models may extend into early April.

When a product shows "Backorder Available", it means the item is temporarily out of stock but you can still place your order. Your order secures your place in the queue and will be shipped as a priority the moment new stock arrives at our warehouse.

When will my backorder ship?

Most backorder items are expected to ship by mid-to-late March 2026. Some specialty and premium models may extend to early April. We will email you directly if your order is affected by any further delays.

Will I be charged immediately?

Yes, payment is processed at checkout. This secures your place in the backorder queue. If you change your mind at any time before shipping, we will issue a full refund β€” no questions asked.

Can I cancel my backorder?

Absolutely. Contact us at hello@japanscissorshop.com and we'll process your full refund immediately.

Can I switch to a different model that's in stock?

Yes β€” just email us and we'll arrange the exchange and ship straight away. If there's a price difference, we'll handle it for you.

Why are some models out of stock?

We recently relocated to a larger warehouse facility to improve our service long-term. During this transition, our main stock shipment from Japan was delayed in customs. This is a one-time disruption and we're actively working to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Will there be more delays after March?

We don't anticipate further delays. Once our March shipment clears, we'll have full inventory across all brands and our new warehouse systems will allow faster restocking going forward.
